Austin, Texas — February 14, 2023 — Abrigo, a leading provider of compliance, credit risk, lending, and asset/liability management solutions, added Interpol Red Notices and PEP Enhanced lists to its BSA and AML solutions.

With sanctions on the rise and the free CIA Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) list no longer available, these lists are essential for FinCrime professionals bolstering their AML/CFT programs. The new lists will join the World Leaders List and 25 other list offerings currently included in Abrigo’s BAM+ Scan and IQ AutoScan products.

The watchlists are powered by longtime Abrigo partner NominoData, which also provides a cannabis-related business list, data regarding High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA), High-Intensity Financial Crime Areas (HIFCA), and negative news queries.

Michelle Lucci, Regulatory Compliance Director at Abrigo, explained, “The Interpol Red Notices list alerts financial institutions if they are banking internationally wanted fugitives or if customers are transacting with these fugitives, while the PEP Enhanced List offering provides a comprehensive scan of individuals associated with governments worldwide. Adding these lists to our solutions makes it easier for our customers to achieve regulatory compliance.”

Abrigo made the watchlists available for BAM+ and IQ AutoScan customers on February 10, and they will be updated monthly. Other watchlists in Abrigo’s integrated products include OFAC, FinCEN, Australian Sanctions Office (ASO), and EU/UN/UK lists, as well as custom lists created by financial institutions.

“Abrigo strives to adapt quickly to our customers’ needs,” said Abrigo Chief Technology Officer Ravi Nemalikanti. “In the absence of the CIA PEP list, adding new watchlists to our products was a necessary step towards providing our customers with the tools they need to protect their financial institutions.”
