AVP/Senior Credit Officer

Rebecca Russell has been a community banker for almost 14 years. In 2008, she began working at West Plains Bank and Trust Company as an intern while finishing her college degree. Currently, she serves as AVP, Senior Credit Officer.

Starting her banking career as an intern gave her the opportunity to gain a knowledge of how the bank operates in various capacities. From there, she became the bank’s sole credit analyst. As West Plains Bank grew, they implemented the financial analysis portion of Sageworks/Abrigo. In 2019, Rebecca led their implementation of multiple Sageworks product modules and began using the software as their LOS (application, decisioning, pricing, administration, workflow, doc prep, risk rating, and documentation). She serves as the system administrator for the program and all of its integrations.

Rebecca holds a  Bachelor of Science in General Business from Missouri State University. She has also completed the Missouri Bankers Association- School of Bank Management in 2016. In 2021, she completed the ABA’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking with a Leadership Certificate from the Wharton Business School.
