Housing on the Rise

Yesterday, the US Census Bureau and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development released data on new residential sales in June 2011. Compared to June 2010 data, June 2011 sales of new single-family houses have increased 1.6 percent. To validate their data, Sageworks analyzed how the residential building construction industry (including more than single-family houses) has fared in 2011; so far, sales have grown by 2.2 percent.
