Jason Ernst has over 20 years of law enforcement experience, currently serving as a Texas Ranger with the Public Integrity Unit, assigned in Austin. He has investigated a variety of state employee and state/federal financial crime cases, previously serving as a Task Force Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s White Collar Crime Unit in Austin, where he
received an FBI Letter of Recognition for his work.
Jason has investigated high-profile financial investigations, including the Nate Paul and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton case, Paola Gallego Elder Abuse-Financial Exploitation case, and the Texas Lottery Commission Investigation.
He is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA in Business
Administration and holds a Master Peace Officer’s Certification. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Before joining the Rangers, Jason served as the coordinator of the Central Texas Fraud Investigators, which had over 125 active members.
