Happy community banking month
It’s no joke, April 1st kicks off the start of Community Banking Month! Over the next couple weeks, do something special to celebrate your accomplishments and remind your community of just how much your bank does for them all year.
Even if you’re already planning a big event for your community members, here are some simple ideas of how to give back during Community Banking Month:
• Host a customer appreciation day where you barbecue in your parking lot, serve refreshments and more.
• Host an open house right in your lobby for your community members to gather with local food vendors. This is a great opportunity to show your appreciation for some of your most important commercial clients by featuring them here.
• Make your event official by submitting a proclamation to be signed by your mayor for a certain day or week in April.
• Charitable dress down days are a fun way to raise money by having your employees pay for opportunities to come to work in casual attire on selected days. Donate the money raised to a local charity or philanthropic organization.
Are you doing anything to celebrate Community Banking Month? Share with us your stories and pictures of how you are celebrating Community Banking Month with us here. Throughout April we will showcase the best submissions.
