New LLA Features: Alerts
One of the latest additions to the Loan Loss Analyzer is the “Alerts” feature. Beginning in versions 3.16.3 and later, the LLA will produce dynamic alerts to notify users which steps might need to be completed. The “Alerts” window can be accessed by clicking on the flashing “Alerts” prompt located to the left of the “Last Import Date”. The most common action that will produce new alerts is the initiation of a reporting period. After initiating a reporting period, a series of recommended processes to complete will populate in the “Alerts” window.
In addition to being a friendly reminder, the Alerts feature can also be used as a checklist to keep track of which steps have been completed for a given reporting period. If additional information or instruction is needed for any of the individual steps listed in the Alerts window, then the User Manual can be referenced from within the LLA. When a user completes and clears out a step listed in the “Alerts” table, that step will be cleared out for all users within LLA.
If you are interested in modifying the standard alerts that are provided, please contact MST Support. For example, if you would like for a specific user to complete a certain task, we can set the detail of a certain task as “Q1 2017 – User A Check for Unassigned Accounts”. Another way the “Alerts” feature could be tailored would be to add additional steps that are unique to your Institution, i.e. “Q1 2017 – Manually Update GL Account Balances”.
It is important to note that the alerts are simply suggestions, and may not always be necessary to complete. For example, you will not need to complete the full Quarter-End process during Interim Month-End reporting periods.
