Chiropractors manipulate and adjust the spinal column and extremities. Optometrists prescribe and provide eyeglasses, contact lenses, low vision aids and vision therapy. Mental health practitioners diagnose and treat mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. Physical, occupational and speech therapists and audiologists provide physical therapy, administer recreational activities to help disabled patients as well as diagnose and treat speech, language or hearing problems. Podiatrists diagnose and treat diseases and deformities of the foot. Also included in this industry are the offices of dietitians, midwives, acupuncturists and registered or licensed nurses.
