Jere Shaw has over 30 years of banking and finance experience. He joined Evergreen Credit Union (Assets ~$630MM) in 2006 to start-up its Commercial Lending division. Starting from square one and a team of himself, the now 14 commercial staff manage a portfolio of ~$160MM. Prior employment includes positions at Coastal Enterprises, Inc., a community development financial institution founded in 1977, and at Pepperell Bank & Trust, a Maine community bank since acquired.
Jere serves on the board of directors for the community organization Discover Downtown Westbrook where he serves as chair of the Fundraising Committee, co-chair of the Organization Committee, as well as a member of the Finance, Nomination and Economic Vitality Committees. Jere has served on numerous social service, community and economic development boards over his professional career including Maine Center for Entrepreneurs, the Maine Technology Institute, SMART Child & Family Services and Portland Development Corporation.
Jere both lives and works in Westbrook, Maine. He is originally from Biddeford, Maine and has lived throughout southern Maine. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern Maine. Jere is a huge fan of summer on Maine’s lakes and ocean beaches. His favorite winter activity is traveling to warmer climates.
