Michael Browning

Michael Browning is currently the Group Supervisor (GS) for the HSI Riverside Inland Commercial Enforcement Financial Interdiction Task Force (ICEFIT), which is comprised of HSI Special Agents and Task Force Officers from the Corona, Menifee, and La Habra Police Departments. The ICEFIT’s mission is to interrupt and diminish the flow of drugs and illicit proceeds in and out of the Inland Southern California region. To that end, the ICEFIT targets incoming commercial parcels and couriers in possession of narcotics and bulk cash.

While attending California State University Long Beach, GS Browning interned with HSI Los Angeles and was offered a Special Agent position upon graduation. In 2012, GS Browning started in the HSI Los Angeles Narcotics Group and investigated both narcotics smuggling and money laundering in the Los Angeles area. He was also a member of the Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force (LA IMPACT). Through his casework, GS Browning became well versed in investigations involving the Black Market Peso Exchange (BMPE) and Trade Based Money Laundering (TBML).
