In an increasingly competitive and uncertain lending environment, credit unions seek ways to grow membership without compromising credit quality and the member experience. Many credit unions have been focusing primarily on CRE for their growth. However, this approach could pose risks to a credit union if the economy takes a negative turn, if the credit union lacks the necessary resources, or if it relies solely on traditional lending practices

To counter these risks, credit unions are shifting their strategy to pursue more C&I and small business loans. This approach not only creates opportunities to reduce risk in the portfolio, it also can help build membership by leveraging branches more.

Join these industry experts and a credit union executive as they walk through how to implement this new approach practically
